Enabling Cookies
To set up Internet Explorer 5.x to accept cookies:
- Choose Tools > Internet Options. IE displays the Internet Options dialog box.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Custom Level. IE displays the Security Settings dialog box. About halfway down the scrolling area are settings for "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" and "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)."
- Click Enable for both settings.
- Click OK for both dialog boxes.
To set up Internet Explorer 5.x to accept cookies:
- Choose Tools > Internet Options. IE displays the Internet Options dialog box.
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Click Advanced. Make sure that "Override automatic cookie handling" is not checked. However, if it is checked, set First Party Cookies to Accept, set Third Party Cookies to Accept, and check Always allow session cookies.
- Or if you want only DLN to accept cookies, click on edit, this is at the bottom of the dialog box in the Web Sites section, this will open a new window, enter devonlearning.net into the address box, then click allow.
To set up Netscape 7 to accept cookies:
- Choose Edit > Preferences. Netscape displays the Preferences dialog box.
- Click Advanced on the menu tree on the left.
- Click Accept All Cookies.
- Click OK.
Enabling Javascript
To enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer:
- Choose Tools > Internet Options. IE displays the Internet Options dialog box.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click Custom Level. IE displays the Security Settings dialog box. Near the bottom of the list are settings for "Active scripting," "Allow paste...," and "Scripting."
- Click on the these to Enable the settings.
- Click OK for both dialog boxes.
To enable JavaScript in Netscape:
- Choose Edit > Preferences. Netscape displays the Preferences dialog box.
- Click Advanced on the tree.
- Click Enable JavaScript.
- Click OK.
