What is ECDL?
The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is the internationally recognised qualification, which enables people to demonstrate their competence in computer skills.
The ECDL is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a basic qualification in computing to help them with their current job, develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. The ECDL syllabus caters for all levels of staff from those with no prior knowledge of IT or computer skills to those who simply want to fill out any knowledge gaps they might have or gain accreditation for the skills they currently have.
The ECDL syllabus is designed to cover the key concepts of computing, it's practical applications and their use in the workplace and society in general. It is broken down into seven modules, each of which must be passed before the ECDL certificate is awarded.
