e-Learning is the delivery of learning and training using electronic media, for example: using computers, internet, intranet.
In principle, e-Learning is a kind of distance learning; learning materials can be accessed from the web or CD via a computer, and tutors and learners can communicate with each other using e-mail or discussion forums.
e-Learning can be used as the main method of delivery of training or as a combined approach with classroom-based training.

Find out more about the benefits of e-Learning and all the different ways it can be approached along with how it fits in, how you get started and information on what you will need.

We have also compiled a list of useful resources.

  Tutor-led Courses

We have compiled a number of tutor-led e-learning courses covering a variety of different subjects. These courses are open to registered members of the Devon Learning Network after a small enrollment process has been undertaken.

Once enrolled and approved, you can take the courses at a time that suits you best.

  Open Access Courses

Our open access courses are open to all site visitors and cover a variety of different subject areas. These courses do not rely on interactions between tutors and students and can be taken as many times as you like.
