The Devon Learning Network is a resource shared by the health and social care communities of North and East Devon. It aims to support education initiatives by providing links to a range of resources, a place for people to meet 'electronically', a source of e-Learning material, opportunities to share good practice and a set of forums for discussion on a range of topics.
What are the benefits of membership?Membership entitles you to use a range of extra features on this site such as: Search for a Mentor / Information Resource / Shadow
Each member has the ability to submit additional background information regarding
any previous mentoring experience or skills/qualifications that they would
like to offer other members. You can choose to appear on the site as a 'Mentor'
if you are able to offer long term arrangements or a 'Resource' if you can
offer quick advice through email or brief 'Live Meetings' using this sites

Create your own webpages or even multi-page articles without having to know anything about webdesign. Your pages are also open to change by other registered members and are therefore in a virtual constant state of 'work in progress'. e-Learning Courses
We aim to provide a mixture of tutor led and self access e-learning courses. Check back often since we be adding courses as often as we can. Live Meeting Rooms
The Live Meeting Rooms provide an area for holding on-line conferences. Members have access to a number public open meeting rooms, plus the ability to arrange a private meeting of their own and select which other users they would like to invite. Pre-arranged meetings are controlled via your own 'pending meetings' control panel enabling you to accept or decline meeting invitations at any time. Members have the choice to make themselves available for meeting invitations via their profile information screens. Articles, Papers & Presentations
Members have access to a valuable source of information in the shape of a document database. Users are encouraged to submit documents of their own which may be in the shape of Research Findings, Academic Papers or even Presentations which have been previously used for learning purposes. Previously submitted documents can be browsed at your leisure or specific information can be found by using a search facility. How do I register and become a member?In order to become a member, you must complete a simple registration form where you will be asked for the following things: Your Firstname & Lastname Your Email Address Choose a Username Choose a Password Re-type your chosen Password Male or Female Organisation Location Once you have completed the form, you will be asked to confirm that the details you have entered are correct. You will be able to go back and edit the information or proceed with your registration. Successful registration results in an email being sent to you which will contain further instructions on how to activate your membership. |
