The aim of this web site is to promote learning and partnership. It came out of a need expressed across the health and social care communities to find new ways of meeting learning needs in addition to formal courses. And in ways which enabled staff to discuss and share issues and problems they faced at work in an atmosphere which was both supportive and challenging.

The site is open to staff working within the NHS and Social Services in Devon and Cornwall, and one of the aims is encourage staff to make links across organisational boundaries in the belief that joint learning will lead to more effective collaboration and joint working between organisations. .... A steering group has been setup to redevelop the Devon Learning Network. The new look and feel site will have many exciting features aimed at mentoring and leadership and will also allow partners from other organisations.

Open to all site visitors  Latest News - Catch up on all the latest events that may be of interest to you.  Events Diary - Let other users know of important events by posting them in the diary.  Forums - Join a lively community of people from both organisations for online threaded discussion.  ECDL Information - What it is and how can you access it within your organisation.  Mentoring Info - How could you benefit from a mentoring arrangement.

Registered Members Areas  Mentors / Resources - Search for a suitable Mentor or Information resource.  Open Publishing - Create your own pages within this site or even multi-page articles.  Live Meeting Rooms - Arrange and hold online conferences in both public and private rooms.  Articles, Papers & Presentations - Search, browse or contribute to the database.  Newsletters - Subscribe to the newsletter to receive news by email.
